Inferior Dental Nerve - Potential Nerve Damage

054Mrs KF from Chepstow (Gwent).  A 2D image will suggest bone loss around the roots of this tooth, and give us some indication of whether the roots are straight, hooked or fused.

A cross-sectional image allows us to see clearlly that there is no bone support for this tooth (hence an easy extraction), and that the reduced height of bone above the IDN is compensated for by good width and density of bone, allowing us to place an implant of sufficient dimension to support a molar unit.
